I woke up, checked my gear, got ready, and left for an adventure to a new venue all the way in Elgin Illinois. This adventure led me for a exciting day chasing Allison and Evan at the Highland Lofts which is literally one massively beautiful space with exposed bricks and plenty of window light in the main areas to create some truly magical images. 

After scouting for a few moments I had found some inspiring spots to take my couple but i had to get back to work and spend time in the enormous bridal suite getting all the behind scenes goodies that happens with the bridal party. Allison was glowing and I knew it was going to be a wonderful time.

With the sheer amount of space and all that the Highland has to offer I really needed to focus on specific spots to work and capture my images. A tip to all those getting in to weddings is to not let the amount of space get to you. We tend to get used to these smaller confined rectangles and when we are presented with so much room we try and fit too much in during a short period of time. Ceremonies aren't an hour long these days and the fifteen to thirty minutes will tick by quickly if you're spending too much time running around trying to capture every angle possible.
